The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS (BC-CfE) is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all who participate in its conferences and events. Our goal is to host conferences and other events that are inclusive for all attendees, regardless of gender, sexual orientation/identity, race/ethnicity, religion, employment status, or status in the field. Accordingly, we believe that it is important to support the free expression and exchange of ideas in environments that are positive and productive for all.
By participating in this conference, you agree to uphold the following Code of Conduct and contribute to a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment. • Treat all participants and attendees with respect, listen actively, and use inclusive language. • Maintain professionalism, avoid personal attacks, and respect speaking times. • Harassment, bullying or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes intimidation, abuse, use of dehumanizing language or slurs. Report incidents to organizers immediately. • Protect participants' privacy and obtain consent before taking photos which identify attendees. Do not record the presentations or any of the conference; videos of the sessions may be made available on the BC-CfE website following the event.
Participants in violation of this Code of Conduct may be asked to leave the session.
